The Walking Dead Trio -

On Throw Back Thursday

Walking Dead Trio
I am excited to see what my grand-daughter will think of for costumes for her children.

Last year, at the last minute they became the walking dead. I thought it was really cute. They were a hit everywhere they went. We had so much fun.

This year there is talk about Ninja Turtles. She is thinking of making a turtle shell out of painted back packs.

I think making the turtle shells out of paper mache would be a lot easier. It would entail a ton of paper mache'. Not sure I want to get involved in that. Maybe over a long period of time but not in 3 shells in 30 days.

My daughter used to make me have to sew or my mom sew every single year.

Sussie, I would have no clue how to make paper mache ninja backs!  You have to know a bunch to be a great mom these days!

Sussie, it was fun as a parent coming up with good ideas for costumes, and think the turtles will be a good idea!

Tammy Lankford When I was in first grade my mom made me a black cat costume. It was a hit. The school also had a main street parade for the elementary school children to show off their costumes. I was so proud.

Patricia Kennedy making a shell is easy. Just like making a mask. You blow up a big balloon and paper mache (newspaper strips, flour, and water) it. Let it dry and paint it. The straps would be a little tricky, I would need to think that one out.

Joan Cox I think it is fun too. I am going to ask their mom and see what she want to do.
