Busy Summer - Very little blogging - I am back!

Real Estate Agent with John L. Scott Sp34627

This summer has been one of self-discipline.   I have been very busy with real estate and the rest of my world.   Real estate wise I have not been prospecting but me and my partner have had 4 pendings through most of the summer.  On Thursday we were briefly up to 6.

On the rest of the world my dad has been sick with diabetic ulcers and other problems.  Nothing that will kill him but things that take a lot of time, patience and love.    My diabetes has gotton worse but I have taken charge of it and started excercising (no matter how busy I am) and have lost 12 pounds and my sugar is in better control.   Kids and husband are doing great.

Now I want to apply my self discipline to prospecting and blogging.   I would like to try to make one new contact a day via FSBO.   I also need to train my partner.  Maybe we could do 4 days a week keeping a random day for being too busy.

The other thing I want to do is restart my blogging here on activerain.  I know the self discipline will help me be a better agent and a better person.  My goal is to blog at least twice a week.  I used to blog every day.  It is important when setting goals to set realistic goals.

Tommorrow perhaps I will talk about some of our sales.  Friday we just closed a difficult short sale and have 5 pendings and no listings.  We can't seem to keep them.   I am back!

Hi Debbie, Welcome back.  Well it is important to address things that come up in our lives such as taking care of a sick family member.  Some times we have to take some time off for "priorty" things in life.  It's called "balancing" at that particular time.  It is nice that you are now focused and ready to restart your disciplines with a clean slate.  Best of luck :)

Gets the job done!

Not feeling guilty.  I have done a bang up job in real estate and life.  Just want to get a little more into the groove that brings success.

Glad to see you back, Debbie. I blog every day, can't help it. It is the cornerstone of all that I do.

I also recently adapted the Mayo Clinic Diabetes Diet, although I am not diabetic. For the past year, I've been focusing on 2 ounces to 3 ounces of fish or meat, lots of vegetables, and whole grains, which has kept my weight in check. Seems like a very sensible way to eat.

I started my next post but real estate appointments intervene.
