California Residents Help Bring Injustice to Gov. Brown's Attention

Family, friends and neighbors of Californian, Ryan Mickey, are trying to shed some light on a mistake made by our justice system in 2006.  This is a hard story to read and study, as a mother of two myself, I instantly had this man guilty in my mind...but then you read, and you listen to the evidence, and science shows that in this case, the justice system failed.  I became friends with his family, THEN I learned that they had a family member in prison for the death of this little girl...my mama bear defenses immediately were working overtime...but then I read all the articles, and listened to the 911 call, listened to his story and met his several times in person.  This man, who at the time was young and impulsive maybe, but family and heart were hugely embedded in him.  He loved this little girl like his own and was a very important caretaker in her life.  Technology was overlooked and not used to its fullest, science was ignored...and someone who should have been presumed innocent until proven guilty...was presumed guilty and no one fought hard enough, despite is family's pleas, to prove him innocent.  In the tragic death of this little girl, they needed someone to be guilty...in reality, it was a pre-existing condition that was the true cause of her death. 

I urge you to visit Ryan's website, read the story in his own words, look at the family photos, and listen to him answer questions in his own voice...then if you feel so compelled to at least give him another chance to have this wrong righted, sign the petition to plead his case to Jerry Brown.  Ryan has served almost 10 years in prison, for a crime that wasn't even committed, and it's time to let him come home to have a life that was previously stolen from him, his family, his friends and his loved ones.  Never forget the story of Kerianne...because there is a lesson to be learned here...about the proper care and attention that should be given to a precious child, but it is time to free an innocent man.
