Since September of last year, I have had the distinct pleasure of serving as the Affiliate Chair for the Realtor's Association of Indian River County. This group has been serving the local area for decades working to uphold the ethics and ongoing education necessary to be a a Realtor.
As an affiliate, we represent businesses and products that service the real estate industry. White Glove Moving & Storage, headquartered out of Vero Beach, has been assisting real estate agents and their customers since 2002 and have been earning loyal customers ever since. This one year position allowed me a unique prospective to the inner workings of an established board. Not only did I have the honor of running the affiliate meetings each quarter; I also had the privilege of helping to organize and MC the Alive at Fives. These bi-monthly networking functions bring realtors and affiliates together to have fun, share ideas and learn more about one another while also having the chance to win great door prizes and more.
Additionally, I had the pleasure of spearheading the upcoming trade show set for Friday, October 23rd from 2-5pm. Tables are open to all and the proceeds benefit Suncoast Mental Health. It is a game themed show this year with each vendor hosting a carnival or casino inspired game. Only 8 tables remain for those who might be intersted in participating.
At Friday's Installation, those of us who served this past year got recognized and we passed the "chairing" onto new members elected by our membership as a whole. I was always taught that getting involved meant helping to make a difference and I feel that this past year we made a wonderful impact on our local area's real estate outlook. Thank you Robin Raiff of Remax Crown in Sebastian for having chose me to be your Affiliate Chair; it was a true pleasure.
