It is a wonderful feeling to work with buyers who are buying their first home. It is cute when they say they now feel grown up! These buyers were very diligent on doing research to know just what they were getting into, and wonderful to work with! Seeing the keys exchange at the table was a JOY!
The buyers were very specific on the home they wanted. They are completely sold on the mid-century homes with the open floor plan. I think they had referred to Mad Men started this craze. There are not many that come on the market, and were very popular when they did. We viewed a few until they found one they loved. The problem with 1950's homes, is if the homeowner did not take care of it --- it has LOTS of inspection issues. That was the case with the first one they had under contract. Literally everything needed to be replaced, and the sellers said no. Well, good luck with that! The next buyers can work with those sellers!
This home was so cute it was hard to believe we would find anything on inspection, but there were a few items, but this time, homeowners knew it would be an issue again, so fixed the items found.
Harvey Park is located just West of I-25 between Sheridan and Federal and Yale and Jewell. With this great location, it is a highly sought after neighborhood right now. This property is now sold, but there are a few active homes for sale in Harvey Park. Check them out!
