Hoping that it pours - we need the rain and I want it to rain hard so that my son has a sunny Sunday on October 11 for his wedding!

Joanna...so nice to see you, gorgeous and thanks for the comment.  I'll do a sun dance for your son's wedding and congrats.  Right now, our horse needs grass and nutrients to carry her through winter.  Thanks again!

Yes, some rain would be good.  It seems like some of the trees are not doing their full autumn dance and instead are just drying up and turning brown.  But, too much rain at once can create other problems.

You are so right, Debbie.  Our Japenese maple looks dry and ready for winter already vs. the vibrant red every other Fall.  Doing a rain dance.  Plus, we have a hurricane coming in, possibly, next week.  too much is not always good, too true

Hillary - yes it has been dry and their might be some flash flooding if it pours.  But let it rain!

Grant, thanks for your comment.  Yes, we've already had some flooded apartment buildings and homes, after the heavy rain.  We need it so grass and plants can prep for winter, but flooding is tough.

We are in severe drought here even though we were flooding in the Spring.  McCurtain County where we are, is currently the driest county in the State of Oklahoma and we are the one with the highest annual average rainfall.. how ironic is that!!  You are right on to be posting about checking those basements!  We do not have basements here since our frost line is much shallower.
