The Texas real estate market has been hot over the past few years...and specifically so in North Texas. The Dallas/Fort Worth area has been seeing plenty of growth in new construction homes.
I have seen people camp out for concert tickets, the latest iPhone, etc. However, this is the first time I have ever seen people camping out at a model home for their shot at a vacant lot to build on.
These home buyers are so interested in phase 2 of the Prestwyck neighborhod in McKinney Texas that they camped out overnight to have the chance to purchase one of only 83 lots available. In buying a vacant lot today, they can start construction on their new home this year and be ready to move in next summer.

The Prestwyck community includes homes built by Beazer Homes, First Texas Homes, and Lennar. The neighborhood is located near Coit Road and Highway 380 and will include parks, trails, and a community amenity center with a swimming pool.
