The #1 Halloween Haunted Attraction On The Seacoast Is In Lee NH

By

If you are looking for the #1 NOT TO BE MISSED Halloween attraction on the Seacoast, you have to check out Haunted Overload in Lee, New Hampshire.

Haunted Overload was just named the 2015 #1 haunted attraction in America by Hauntworld Magazine.

It has been featured on the Weather Channel, NH Chronicle, NECN and others.

It started as a fun hobby and has grown over the years into a haunted happening of major proportions.  It's been voted one of the top in the country twice and last year appeared on a national tv show and won ABC's  The Great Halloween Fright Fight.

Haunted Overload does not disappoint.

The evening haunt is too frightening for most children (and even some adults) so there are two other show options available.

Fright Night Lite is the evening show with all the lights, sounds, and special effects, but without the actors.  No threat of anyone jumping out at you.

The Day Haunt has no actors or special effects and offers a unique opportunity to walk at your leisure and really appreciate the features and details of all the amazing props and structures.  It's like having a backstage pass!

Here are some pics I took during a Day Haunt:

Haunted Overload  Tips:

It's a pre-ticketed event. If it's not sold out, you can buy at the door, but it's $5 more.

It takes approx. 45 minutes to go through.

Shows are held regardless of weather so dress accordingly.

It's a walking tour on uneven ground....wear comfortable shoes.

Videotaping and photography are NOT permitted.

Pets are not allowed.

You can come in costume if you wish, but no masks are allowed for safety reasons.

Hot and cold drinks and snacks are sold outside the attraction.

Hi Sharon - That does indeed look like a very scary experience. It's amazing how advanced these have become in recent times - well worth the admission fee.

It's been a little while since I've been to the night show. I've been going during the day with the grandkids the last couple of years.  The night show is pretty amazing!

The day show is pretty cool because you really get to see it ALL, the detail is amazing. Two of my grandkids loved it and two of them were crying all the way through. I felt terrible that they were so frightened. I didn't expect it because it was not at all threatening. Poor little guys. I don't think they will be going back.

Jaime and I usually go with Zack and Jacinda to the day tour. I would love to go with Rick to the night one this year. We haven't gone in a couple of years. It's so scary, but so much fun!

Sharon,

I know that this type of business has been a success...not my type of scene...I am not fond of getting scared.  I can do that myself without paying an admission price.  LOL A

As for most every other aspect of my life I'm with you.....it doesn't take much to scare me and I'm afraid of everything! When it comes to Halloween though, I'm all in!  LOVE Halloween!

They do an excellent job....it's all handmade and the construction is amazing....some of it is over 30 feet tall!  I also love the creativity!

Whether you choose the really spooky or the daytime show, it's very impressive!  It's very popular too, especially with all the recognition it's now receiving.

Except for the actors jumping out from behind the trees, the day show should be good for kids.  It would be frightful after dark, however

The actors are not there during the day. It's really fun to be able to walk through and really get a close up look at everything without worrying about who is behind you or lurking around the next turn.

My kids and grandkids love these kinds of events.  New Hampshire is too far for us to travel for your haunted attraction.  However, we do have something similar going on locally.

I've always enjoyed haunted happenings. My kids are fans too. The grandkids are split....2 love it and 2 hate it.

Good morning Sharon.  While I would have no issue my wife would not even get close to the event.  She easily scared.

My favorite way to attend these things is with someone who is terrified. It makes it all the more fun!

Hi Sharon -- there are enough scary things in life without going to a haunted attraction but I know Halloween is one of many people's favorite holidays and a big income generator.

I do like that the promoters are savvy enough to have some other alternatives especially the behind-the-scenes look which I'm sure gives an entirely different experience during the day.

Very good localism post and a nice shout out to the Lee NH event.

Trust me....in real life I'm afraid of about just everything. I'm not sure why Halloween is such a favorite of mine. Maybe because it is all fake. Real life is far more frightening to me.

The most frightening haunted hay ride I ever went on was one with no spooky characters. It was just a ride on a wagon through the dark woods. Nothing jumping out, no chain saws, no sound effects. It was so real, it was terrifying!

That's ok. I bet you would like the day show.  Even if you don't like the haunted experience, you have to appreciate the creativity and artistic nature of the props and scenes.
