Just when we thought the temps were going to drop in Tucson - temps decided to climb right back up and will hit 103 this week. In light of that - I got my trail run in today - while the temps were still low - just a friendly reminder - if you hike or run or anything outdoors - especially on trails - be smart - bring lots and lots of water - and then drink it! Tell people where you are going - and carry your cell phone. Last week in Tucson - two hikers and their dogs got stranded - no food, no water, no cell phone - the rescue took 16 hours - thank goodness someone passing by saw them and phoned for help. Please be smart - rescues cost money and a lot of man hours - putting other people's lives at risk!
