Becoming an Overnight Sensation

“Overnight sensations are usually not really overnight

sensations. They’re people who worked very hard

in a structured and methodical way to get

where they wanted to go.”

Thomas Schweich, Author, Attorney

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Becoming an overnight sensation

The truth of becoming an overnight sensation is . . . . It doesn’t happen overnight.

You’ll find that an overnight sensation is a person that’s . . . . committed to their success . . . . and career. You will also discover that they have worked hard over an extended period time . . . to earn the right to be called on overnight sensation . . . . and to reach the top of their profession.

An overnight sensation creates a vision for their future . . . . They can see themselves at the end of the rainbow filling the pot of gold with their dream and goals.

They are determined in their efforts . . . . and won’t allow their obstacles . . . . and setbacks stand in their way of achieving their goals and dreams.

Becoming an overnight sensation . . . . take an attitude of possibility thinking . . . . persistence effort . . .  hard work . . . . time . . . .and staying on purpose.

Becoming and overnight sensation . . . . is a success journey worth taking.

Good morning Lou.  I agree there is no overnight sensation.  We all work hard to achieve that goal.  It takes a long time to get there

I chuckled when I read your post because it reminded me of a quote attributed to Dolly Parton who said it never upset her when anyone referred to her as a dumb blond because she wasn't dumb and she wasn't blond.   Kind of the same thing with "overnight sensation" ... there is a boatload of hard word, inspiration, perspirtion and PERSEVERANCE over time practicing continuous improvement that is not "overnight" and few if ever are truly "sensations" --- just hard working folks who followed their dream.

Good morning, Lou -- while it can happen, there's typically a back story to these instant successes and overnight sensations.

Lou, these are true words of wisdom. Getting back up and staying the course are necessary for any overnight success story. It takes more effort and hard work than most folks realize.

Hi Lou: In retrospect, you hit it right in all aspects. I can attribute to where I am right now to all my hard work and dedication. It may not be as sensationalized as the others. But it is a sensation, nonetheless.

This was a false hope I had when I first started in business, those that then realize it takes work and are willing to do it will seem like an overnight success down the road.

Your post reminds me of a Bob Seiger answer to being an overnight success.  Paraphrasing he said " Yeah an overnight success in 15 years!"  Commitment.
