The Waze App - A Great Tool For Those On The Road
We're on the road all the time, aren't we? Isn't everyone these days? Yesterday I was driving to my first appointment sitting in traffic (as I always do in OC) and listened to the radio jockey talking about the Waze app...and how he thought it was the greatest thing every developed.
Have you heard of it? It's a social media style traffic app. I was interested in the fact that the members will check in regarding traffic, debris, even police. While I was idling on the freeway, I downloaded the app.
I love it. I started using the Waze Navigation feature right away. Much better than Google Maps. For one thing, it can pronounce the streets in SoCal. LOL. But after it wished me a safe drive, it started helping me make it safely.
"Be careful, car stalled on right shoulder up ahead"
I loved that. I didn't have to look down from the road to get this kind of helpful information. My favorite of the day was "police reported up ahead." When you report police, you can even designate if they are "visible" or "hidden." Nice.
So I have to recommend the Waze app...and it's free. It can even navigate you to the cheapest gas in the area. Very cool.
