Try Before You Buy
I don't know about you, but I really appreciate it when stores offer a chance to try a product before I buy it. So many grocery stores are offering samples of fruit, cheese, cookies, sushi, even handing you a slice of meat when you buy it at the deli counter. I especially like it at the warehouse store because it better be good before I much a jumbo size of anything. It also entertains my kids who hate shopping, but will sample everything.
Some businesses have been doing this for a long time. Car dealers have always encouraged you to take a test drive before buying a car. Avon ladies (am I dating myself or what!) always had tiny lipstick samples. I used to love those when I was a kid. Today most make-up counters offer samples and even make-overs. I really appreciate trying first when it comes to skin care products because I never thought I had sensitive skin until I bought a very harsh cleanser. Now I always want to try before I buy skin care products.
Free Tastings Every Weekend.
At your local Montgomery County Liquor & Wine Stores they are advertising Liquor Tastings every weekend. There are four tastings listed for this weekend. They include locally made gin, vodka and whiskey; a rum made with coconut water; pineapple mango, peach and strawberry lemonade flavored vodkas, a smoke whiskey, and a pumpkin spice moonshine.
The tastings are located at different stores throughout the county and there are different tastings every weekend. Check out their events page at: http://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/dlc/retail/events/.
Free Showings Every Weekend
Unfortunately, I think this mentality has oozed its way into the real estate industry. It seems that many buyers would like to have free showings every weekend. Either by attending Open Houses, or by calling a real estate agent to go and show them some homes without committing to a more purposeful process.
This is where I draw the line on the free samples every weekend. If you want to go and taste some wine without the pressure of buying, I can tell you some great places all around the DC Metropolitan Area. But if you are only looking for a free sample of home showings, I'm not the agent for you.
I am willing to go all in to help you find the best home, help you analyze and price it correctly, help you negotiate the best price and terms, and give you great recommendations of people who can help you throughout the process. But, I'm all in. I don't offer free samples every weekend.
If you are looking to buy or sell a home in the DC Metropolitan Area, including Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland, give me a call to Get Started.
