Lyn...ATT let me reconnect with the Rain & look what I find here; a great localism post that is also very interesting & entertaining.
First of all: that "Figure of the Grass" is fantastic; Is it a  statue in the park or was it part of the Artist Show ?--whatever it is--that is so dramatic and great to see.
The young man skateboarding is good; if he tried that here in our parks or general public areas, I fear that he would have been met at some point by our local law enforcement.  Can't say that I disagree with that practice--as some boarders are perhaps fearless, but they are also not too careful of our personal spaces.
Have a good week.

Lyn, What a great local blog...and I agree with Barb, you got me with the figure in the grass. Who's the skateboarder? Is it a friend of yours?

Barb:  Don't you just love that statue! It's called the Muse, you can't see from that pic but her knee, schaumburg IL, leg & foot are sticking out of the grass also. Here's one I took.

Ellen:  No friend on the skateboarder, just someone using the park that Schaumburg has.  He was the best one that did a video.
