3 Mistakes we all make

1. Trying to do it all yourself. 

58 % of  FSBO's turn to realtors to sell their homes? Because they  lack the expertise in marketing homes like a professional realtor. Are you a  FSBO? Are you wasting  time on task that can be delegated to a professional service?

 

2. Working harder not smarter.

 Sometime we think we can do it better, faster and cheaper ourselves but something got to give and its most likely your business of prospecting, services clients and closing deals.

 

3. Not putting value on our time.

 If you average out how much you earn per hour and it exceeds minimum wage then why would you do a minimum wage task then working on what your worth. It all comes down to the more time you spend on task that can be handles at a minimal cost, more effectively and professionally then you can do it why would you continue.

I'm finally took this advice and it has been worth as I am already seeing an increase in revenue! Thats why I'm sharing it with you.

I actually heard it was 86% who turn to an agent - that is from a study done by NAR.

We all end up working harder when we don't leverage our time! I try to use services for things I can do but are not as productive as others.

I heard that 90% of all facts are actually made up on the spot.  LOL, but the value of time is a huge mistake that I think everyone makes

Walter, Shannon & John thanks for the update. I got the info from Realtor.com a while a go, with the current market it makes a lot of sense that the percentage is higher.

Well,I had fun reading the responces. But seriously we all know what we can accomplish that is cost effective ,as well as not a drain on our day to day living. In the end no matter what we are doing ,hiring a professional in that field is almost always best.

The hardest one for me is... er...well, actually, I make all of those 3 all the time!  I'm arrogant and cheap enough to want to do it all myself; I constantly underestimate time, especially when bidding staging jobs, and have long thought that the American way is simply - work hard and you will make it in the end.  Perseverance.  This business of working smarter is great if you can master it; naturally my husband is all about working smarter so that he can play golf 3 times a week!!  For me, I'd have to hire someone to teach me how to work my business smarter and that falls under Mistake #1!!

Thanks for posting to the group.  This is an interesting one.
