Each year on the 1st Monday in October, and this year on Monday, October 5th, 2015, we celebrate National Child Health Day.
On 1st Monday in October, the President invites “all agencies and organizations interested in child welfare to unite on Child Health Day in observing exercises that will make the people of the United States aware of the fundamental necessity of a year-round program to protect and develop the health of the children of the United States”. ( 36 U.S.C § 105 ).
On October 4, 2013, President Barack Obama signed a Proclamation proclaiming Monday, October 7, 2013, as Child Health Day. You can read the full Proclamation, please CLICK HERE
