A REALLY UNIQUE WEDDING VENUE

By
Education & Training with Performance Development Strategies

I know one newly wed couple who are very glad the the east coast hurricane turned out to sea.  In spite of that that this past weekend was rainy, windy, and unseasonably gold.  My weather app said is was 50 degrees. It was a far cry from the beautiful autumn weekend before.

The wedding was held under a tent at the Geer Christmas Tree Farm.

Although the weather was cold and windy it did not dampen the celebration that this couple had so lovingly prepared.  I included each of their favorite wines with wine pairings.  There was also a roaring fire pit outside the tent.

WeddingMost of the guests were out of town and staying at the local Courtyard by Marriott.  We had a nice breakfast Sunday morning with the bride and groom.

Kudos on a nice localism post.  That was a chilly day! I'm glad the cool air didn't dampen anyone's spirits!

Good morning Grant. This kind of venue is wonderful, it sure does sound like nothing could have gotten in the way of this beautiful day for this couple.

Debbie - it would not have been good for this wedding.  Although I had a whole house generator installed after Sandy.  It kicks in 20 seconds after the power goes out.

Kat - Our only poblem is we got there too early and waited in the cold.  Good thing I wore a wool suit.

Joe - I guess you have seen a few here.  It was a little more than 2 hours from us.

Barbara-Jo - I can't help thinking how sunny and warm it has  been since.  But it was a fun event just a little chilly.

Endre - a hurricane would have been a game changer.

Good thing the tent was available Grant Schneider and that they were able to put it up, and keep it up, on a windy day. I'll bet it was a really beautiful wedding to see the brides long gown in the breeze.

My son got married last weekend too. It rain most of the time with temps from 50-55. The wedding was in a historic church with no heat. the reception was outside but under a covered pavilion with a big fireplace. I was so cold and all the photos show me with a sweater on. Besides all that is was a beautiful wedding and the couple was radiant.

Debbie - when you plan such a big event you have to go forward.  At least this hurricane went off shore.
