Home buying in Lafayette and West Lafayette area - Will the new Fed regulation of TRID hold you back from purchasing your dream home?

In short, “No”, as long as you have an expert Loan Officer, like myself.  Never has it been more crucial than it is now to choose a Loan Officer who will stay on top of your file.  Here at Approved Mortgage, in Lafayette, Indiana, we pride ourselves in customer service—that goal is our top priority, and the underwriters that we work with share that commitment to excellence as well.  The Lafayette/West Lafayette housing market has remained stable, perhaps even with an upward trend, and with new businesses and manufacturing plants coming in this year and next, we expect for the housing market to continue to trend upward even if rates do likewise.

So what should I do to make sure with the new TRID regulation that my home purchase closes with ease?

You want to go to an Expert - your banker may not be the “expert.”  Some clients think they first need to check with “their bank.”  Your bank may not have the range of choices, professional expertise, or control over your loan approval.  Most banks, because of the lack of control over each loan, are now stating for realtors to write a purchase agreement of no less than 45 days because of TRID.  This is not the case when seeking financing in the Lafayette, West Lafayette , and Tippecanoe County area with Approved Mortgage/Carrie Johnston .   30 days is still no problem with financing a Lafayette IN home purchase!

Check around, listen to what the Loan Officer tells you during the initial phone call.  You can tell if a Loan Officer is knowledgeable and has the backing of a company that “gets it done”.  Lower cost, more options, and more control on your loans are important features when buying that Lafayette, Indiana home that needs financing, and Carrie Johnston at Approved Mortgage is available to assist you with your lending needs to buy your dream home in Tippecanoe County, Indiana!

Approved Mortgage isn’t just a middle man, we control our loans from start to finish and fund all our loans, yet have over 65 investors and their options at our fingertips.  Find the Expert – Carrie Johnston 765-543-1823

Stay tuned tomorrow for tips on the TRID breakdown and more helpful advice so your home buying is smooth.

Carrie - I think that we'll see that TRID will cause some issues as we all get used to it, and having a good loan officer will be more important than usual.

I remember when the banking laws before TRID came along we thought "what a pain in the assests" so I'm thinking OK, we will survive this (TRID) but whats next Carrie Johnston .
