Direct Response Mailers

This is a form of direct mailing but usually includes a call for some form of action by the recipient such as visiting a web site, asking for a report, or a property description.  Very difficult for owners to engage in Direct Response Mailers to the public because of cost and a lack of target specific addresses.


Door Knocking

Not many For Sale By Owners ever knock on doors to promote their property.  For that fact not many real estate agents knock on doors either.  Yet, this has and will always continue to be a great way to develop relationships and introduce people to properties that are for sale.  Owners are very encouraged to knock on the doors of their immediate neighbors to give the neighbors a flyer that includes all the specifics of the property they are selling with contact information.

Open HousesReal estate agents use Open Houses to locate buyers of real estate but rarely does a visitor to an open house ever buy the open house.  More often than not, buyers have not been qualified and look at homes they cannot afford to buy until they go through the qualification process.  If a buyer is NOT working with a real estate agent and has not been financially qualified, it is doubtful that they will be able to qualify for the home they are touring.  Far more important to sellers is the security risk of willingly letting anyone who comes to the door into the home without knowing how sincere or financially qualified that person may be.  As stated above, professional thieves use the occasion of open houses to eliminate those homes not worthy of breaking in to and to identify what security systems may be in place.  No geographical area is immune to this type of illegal activities.
