This weekend the Halloween fun gets under way with the most anticipated event of the Halloween Season - the Great Highwood Pumpkin Festival! Not quite ready for Halloween? Sponsored by the Autism Society of Illinois and the city of Highwood, the Great Highwood Pumpkin Fest is a weekend jammed packed with Halloween fun. Fan favorite activities include: a pumpkin maze, trick or treating, pet costume contest, light up the night parade, 5K Pumpkin Run, Walk & Kids' Dash, hay rides, pumpkin bowling, pony rides, petting zoo, carnival rides, crafts, three music stages, pumpkin beer tasting and food and beverage vendors galore! New this year, fest goers will also enjoy nightly electronic pumpkin wall lighting set to music and seed spitting contests! Fort Building with Tinkering School Chicago
