Are Women better home buyers than Men?

Home Builder with Complete Design

Men and women see things differently. No news here. When it comes to home buying thou, the two sexes look at the needs/desires/wants very differently. Not only will any two people,  not agree all the time (or rarely) . Men and women see their new nesting place with unique visions. That may pose a problem when searching for a new nest. The nest that two other people made, may not fit your needs. This is where a custom home can help. Make it to fit both sexes.Typically it is a bit of a "battle" and we as ref's or umpires or marriage counselors :) can help. We have seen it happen over and over.We cant solve it, but we will have a unique perspective.

If your nest hunt isn't going well, ask your agent to contact us. Or call us yourself for some nest hunting tips. :)

Good morning Mike,

And as the years go by we look for other items and still differ as to what it should actually be.

Make yourself a great day.

Good Thursday morning Mike. Yes, both men and women look at properties differently. I've just come to learn that women pick out the nest the men just pay for it. – LOL

Are women better home buyers? No, just different. They are much less level headed and more emotional than men. They get more easily distracted by cosmetic features and men are much more intersted in the functionality of the home itself. Of course I speak in generalities.

So True, Mike. Women do look at property different than men. I sold a house to my neighbors with 3 kids.  They both loved the house, but the women wanted a pantry in the kitchen. So they bought the house and will be knocking dow 2 small walls to the dining room to enlarge kitchen and add a pantry.

Mike- isn't it funny.  My husband is a retired builder and he looked at things much differently than I did.  The first thing I wanted to see was the kitchen. (not that I'm a great cook!)

WOMEN LOVE THE KITCHEN, then the master bath, and her closet

When we were househunting, Wayne and I looked at houses separately to cover more ground. When one of us found something we loved, the other one went, also separately. We both compromised and found our dream home.

Mike Rock it's been pretty rare for me to have a husband and wife not on the same page but bring in mom and dad and it's a whole different story.
