Who remembers the Ter-Juan Motel in Judsonia AR?

Ter-Juan Motel Judsonia AR Hwy 64 and 67

I found this old card on ebay and added it to my collection.  However, I am unable to figure out where exactly it was.  It says Hy 64 & 67 so that must have been an intersection.  I have not done a real search yet because it seems that highways change.  I prefer asking the Sleuths to give me their opinion as to where it was.    It looks like a really peaceful location to pull in and spend the night.

Here's the back of the card.  Seems the managers were Joseph and Lottie Rice and the motel had cabins with one or two beds, modern furniture, automatic heat and air and private showers.

Gosh, I remember when motels looked like that, were almost always 1 story structures.  I kind of miss them!

Myrl, they were certainly easier to enter.

Barbara Hwy 64 merges into Hwy 67 East of Searcy.

Hard to say where the motel was located but maybe the marker is close enough,

Don, I am still confused about the location.  I'll drive over one day.

Good Friday evening Barbara. I remember seeing some of those old post cards in motels ages ago. Brings back memories.

I definitely remember driving past several run-down motels between Searcy and Judsonia. At least one was abandoned and another had been converted to apartments. Both had remnants of the old 40s/50s-era signage.

Luke, I think I know which ones you are talking about.  But I do not remember this one.

Dear Barbara,

For a lark tonight, I Googled Ter-Juan Motel, and lo and behold, there was your post from 2015. In 1962-63, I lived next door to the motel; my parents operated the small cafe beside the motel, which at that time was operated by Jack and Mildred Buice. I remember that it was located on the righthand side of the highway (going toward Bald Knob) between Searcy and Bald Knob about a quarter to a half a mile east of the Y intersection -- that must be the Hwys 64 & 67 mentioned -- where veering right would take you into Judsonia's tiny downtown. The last time I went through there, maybe 10 years ago, both structures were still there but not in use. I remember being told that the Ter-Juan was named after two sisters, Terry and Juanita. I remember it well. Jack's daughter Amanda and I used to play pool in the rec room attached to the motel, which was build in an L shape with large pink-colored stones. Sorry I can't be more specific, but I could still find it even if it's been razed!

Barbara, I think the person saying a y really meant the intersection of Rocky Point Red. And East side going into judsonia from Hwy 367. The Texas Illinois motel was on the right traveling toward Bald Knob about a quarter to half mile from intersection.
