Friday's Fotos-What To Do When You Have Wet Wings in Astoria Oregon!

I was in Astoria Oregon a bit over a week ago and spent all day waiting for surgery to be done one of my Golden Retrievers. So, I took my other one, Kasa and she and walked along the shoreline and I found opportunities to take photos and video. 

There were many Cormorants darting to and fro or simply hanging out. This guy was my perfect muse for a photo shoot, as he stayed very still. Perched on a piling, he was  as happy as could be, drying his wings and taking in the sights.

There is always something to see in Astoria Oregon. The same place where I found a local painter a number of years ago, (see the link above) I took video of a dockload of sealions that I'll share soon. Enjoy your weekend!

That photo captures the essence of strength and perseverance! It reminds me of the pose from the Karate Kid too! Although we both have busy lives, I miss you and wish we lived closer. Your homeland is so beautiful - all the pictures you post go straight to my heart! There's a special place in my heart for you too Gayle. Tammy Lankford it's funny which photos speak to people. I didn't look at this as very impressive...I guess I like some of my artsy ones better, but thank you--I looked through your eyes and it made me happy!

I actually thought of you, Dick Greenberg because I know from when I posted that cormorant video that Mary isn't in love with them. I saw some when we took our tour through the Thousand Islands and up into Canada, but none of my photos showed up well. I'll just stick with what I know, "Pacific NW Wildlife photos"!

Andrea Swiedler the surgery went pretty well, There's an area of concern, though after over a week and I' think I'm going to have to take that hour trek back and have him checked out. I love these crazy birds and their huge feet! 

You know, Ed Silva I didn't watch that movie enough to know what you mean, but Patricia agreed with you! 

Donald Hester thank you AGAIN for the great follow-up on instant hot water/tankless heaters, etc. I just might have to write a post about that someday!
