Yesterday I Joined a New Club
It has been customary at ActiveRain when a member reaches a significant number of points, that said member writes some sort of milestone post.
It’s a bit like standing up at your retirement party and thanking everyone. Or perhaps it’s like winning the Oscar or Emmy and instead of just walking up to the stage and saying a very gracious “Thank you” the recipient goes on and on with a list of people and pets they want to thank.
Well, guess what…. there’s a reason that they go on and on thanking people. It’s because without the people around you, the journey would be a lonely and much less enjoyable one. It might also be one that you wouldn’t complete without the support of those around you.
What have I learned?
How long do you have? I have and continue to learn each and every day I open the ActiveRain site.
I’ve learned how to blog...how important home inspections are….how you really need to find a lender who cares and knows the current programs.
I’ve also learned that being a member of something such as the ActiveRain community means more than signing up and showing up. It takes interaction, sharing what you know and supporting the other members.
Who to thank…..
Again, how long do you have? I always thank the person who left the first comment on my post and that is Cindy Edwards
I have to thank Bob Stewart who when I asked if stagers could enter one of the the early challenges, he said “why not!”
I must thank those who commented on my early posts and encouraged me to write more. (I thought I was doing well to post 2 or 3 a month)
I want to thank anyone who has been kind enough to follow me and thus hold me accountable for trying to offer you something to read that is worthy of your time.
