OUR STRAWBERRIES AFTER TWO DAYS OF RAIN IN OCTOBER!!

Who would have thought we would still have fresh strawberries growing in our Garden in Victoria, BC on Thanksgiving.

After several days of rain I took these two photos to capture my proof that fresh strawberries are still alive an well this October day in our back yard.

This photo was taken on October 12/15 after several days of rain. Canadian Thanksgiving. These strawberries were babies from my hanging basket strawberry plants.

OUR STAWBERRY'S AFTER TWO DAYS RAIN IN OCTOBER

This year I tried growing strawberries in an hanging basket that I had left over from last year, It was very productive throughout the summer. I added a drip irrigation to the basket which helped them survive our usually hot summer in Victoria, BC. These strawberry plants are now at the end of producing juicy strawberries.

Interesting blog.  Our weather and surroundings could not be much more different from where you are at and where I work and live, in Arizona desert.  Now I am hungry for some fresh strawberries!  Thanks.

Fred, great way to grow strawberries, and sure would love some in the garden.  May have to think of this for next year's crop.

Hi Spirit Messingham Maybe a trip to California is in order. Strawberries are popular with everyone. It's nice to have them growing in your own garden.

Hi Christine Gerbehy I've never tried growing regular strawberries until this year, We have always grown wild strawberries which are small and produce small amount at a time like a continuous berry plant. My Dog likes them too.

These were really large, must have been the hot summer and lots of water.

Cheers
