Have You Ever Taken A Sabbatical?
The true definition of the word "Sabbatical" is:
Leave time with pay granted to a teacher or professor after serving for six or seven years on the same faculty. Its purpose is to give an extended period of time for concentrated study.
A sabbatical year is a prolonged hiatus, typically one year, in the career of an otherwise successful individual taken in order to fulfill some dream, e.g. writing a book or traveling extensively. Some universities and other institutional employers of scientists, physicians, and/or academics offer a paid sabbatical as an employee benefit.

I have never taken any time away to really just clear my head, be by myself and to have time to plan, write and dream. That changes for me in just a few weeks when I will be heading to Costa Rica to do just this! I am beyond excited!
Luckily my husband does not have his feelings hurt as I escape to do some "think tank" time. My plan is to journal, dream, rest and be refreshed. No electronics, no phone, just R&R in a beautiful setting.
My lodging is on the side of a mountain overlooking the ocean. I will enjoy an outdoor shower, a screened-in porch and all natural food for an entire week. Cannot wait!
So no my Sabbatical is not for an entire year, but I will take and enjoy the week that I have. Hope you all will consider taking time away by yourself to be renewed and refreshed. Remember:
"Have you fully LIVED today?"
