For those looking to purchase a home in Marin, there is finally some good news. Prices for single family homes in Marin are unchanged from a year ago, and down 8% from the previous quarter. Condos, while up 11% from a year ago, are down by 4% from the previous quarter. This is part of a seasonal trend, and typically median prices fall toward the end of the year, during the rainy (we hope!) holiday season. In addition, there are 18% more homes on the market now than at the end of the previous quarter. The median days that homes are on the market also increased by 10%, now sitting at 32 days.
