Eastvale CA Water Conservation Events for October

1. Drought Drop-in Event - October 17th from 9 am - 10 am

     at Eastvale Community Park, 12750 Citrus St, Eastvale

 

This event gives local residents the opportunity to stop by Eastvale Community Park and ask pertinent questions regarding water conservation, drought regulations and rebates. District employees will also be giving away conservation kits such as hose nozzle, kitchen faucet aerator, shower timer and leak detection tablets. 

 

The following rebates are available on a first come, first serve for Eastvale CA residents. 

 

- High-efficiency clothes washers which use 55% less water. Rebates start at $85 dollars.

- High-efficiency toilets which use 20% less water. 

- Rotating Sprinkler nozzles - it rotates water stream more slowly and evenly throughout your grass

- Rain barrel - Collecting and reusing rain water for your landscape. Rebate at $75 dollars.

-Weather-based irrigation controller - it automatically adjusts the schedule and amount of water usage according to weather conditions.

-Turf removal - by replacing it with California friendly landscape or replacing it with gravel, water consumption is usually diminished by over 40%.

 

 

 

2. Free Mulch and Low Cost Water barrel - October 24th from 8 am - 12pm

    held at 11201 Harrel Street, Jurupa Valley

 

 

 

Fall is upon us and it is the best time to plant and transplant trees. Mulching one's yard is the best way to protect, retain and suppress moisture to the soil. It is also a practice that controls weed and many also uses it for aesthetic purposes. Jurupa is giving away mulch on October 24th. Make sure to bring your water bill and your own containers. 

 

Low-cost rain barrel will also be distributed at that time. Early purchase sign-up was required and unfortunately, they ran out of supply. However, one can still sign up for the rebate of $75 dollars per barrel.

 

 

 

3.  Drought drop-in at Eastvale Gateway Food court will be held on October 29th from 11 am to 1 pm. Located at 12471 Limonite Avenue.

 

This is the last opportunity for the month of October for Eastvale Residents to ask JCSD questions regarding water conservation, drought regulations and rebates. District employees will also be giving away conservation kits such as hose nozzle, kitchen faucet aerator, shower timer and leak detection tablets at this event.
