Single Story Homes for Sale in Gilbert, Arizona with a Fireplace

Real Estate Broker/Owner with Zion Realty

It is true that the desert here in Arizona does eventually cool down during the Fall and Winter. Residents of Gilbert, Arizona eagerly anticipate that time of year when we can open up our windows and doors to let the Autumn breeze flow through our homes during the day and light up the fireplace at night to cozy up the living room.

However, Arizona is also known for it's air pollution during the Winter as particulates get trapped in the air above the desert floor which is surrounded by mountains. It doesn't rain often here which is a vital part of cleaning up the dirty air that has nowhere to go. I wrote a previous article about Arizona's No Burn Days which you can read about HERE.

Because of these restrictive No Burn Day's, gas fireplaces are what you will mostly find here as they are cleaner burning. You can still find good old fashion wood burning fireplaces too for those that long to hear the crackling and smell of real wood.

As Summer is behind us, homes that have pools start to take a backseat in desirability to properties that can offer more of an emotional connection to the Fall and Winter. Houses with large front porches in which homeowners can sit out on cool evenings or homes with fireplaces will now start to see a jump in sales.

Very informative post about Gilbert Arizona.

We just had our first drizzle in about a month this morning. It seems like Eastvale CA was caught in the eye of the thunder and storm in Southern CA yesterday. Not one drop of rain and all cities surrounding us flooded....

Today...I am glad to say that temperature has cooled off and it will soon be hot cocoa and marshmallow time in front of the fireplace.

Hi Nicole, I absolutely love sitting by the fireplace, even if it's 70 degrees outside, as long as calendar shows winter months.

Hello Nicole.  Hard to picture a fire place in Arizona, other than maybe your upper elevations.  The chill of winter is about 75 right?  We do love the ambience of the flickering flame though.  Make it a great weekend Nicole. Mark

It is rare not find a fireplace in my area but few are legal unless they are your only source of  heat...

Nicole I never though of homes in AR needing a fire place.  Especially after seeing pictures of my brother who lives in Tucson, walking around in December in shorts :)

Good morning Nicole. We are heading out later this morning for a little R & R, but our weekend weather will be much colder. Our fireplace will be cranked up when we return.

Inviting photo for sure.

Lets shake things up at your home today!

Years ago, when I owned a home, we had three wood burning fireplaces.  I loved the smell and sound of a roaring fire.  They were in the living room, basement and master bedroom.
