Washington county is a great place to live and work. We are full of history in all of our small town with quaint buildings and shops. Hagerstown is in the middle of a revitalization that is sweeping the downtown area bringing new restaurants, shops, housing, and entertainment.
Antietam Battlefield, the site of the bloodiest battle of the civil war is located in Sharpsburg. Over 23,000 men were killed or wounded. History buffs can now enjoy an amazing visitor center and a tour of the battlefield from their cars or on foot on one of the many paths at Antietam.
The MD Blues Fest is great. It occurs every year, first weekend in June, right here in Hagerstown. National as well as local groups perform with activities for adults and children. You'll definately see me there!
