Just out, the Yuneec Typhoon 'G' is made for use with your Gopro camera and selling at $899. This has some great new features that not only make it far superior to any other drones in this price range but also very easy to operate.
Now, I know that the government currently looks at drones for real estate listings as a commercial operation and pending their final rules, which should be out in just a few months, it probably pays not to use it on listings.
But, with that said, it is perfectly fine to operate them noncommercially for recreational and hobby use. By getting one now, you can be ready to go once the restrictions on these little radio controlled models are relaxed. Plus, and it's a big plus, I believe this is that powerful listing tool to be used right now!
An agent can videotape their own home (in 4k & burn to a Blu-Ray disk) as an example and or bring the drone with them on their listing appointment to show the potential client that as soon as possible, if their property is already not in escrow, you could produce an aerial video of their property.
In in today's San Diego real estate market it's pretty rare that a potential seller just calls one agent to interview for the listing. So, impressing them with the fact that your an aerial drone expert and you will use this new high technology on their listing once the pending government rules are finalized could make the difference of you getting the listing or just an e-mail thank you note for showing up.
I don't want to duplicate my post that I did about this already so I would suggest if you're interested, take a look at the video I produced and incorporated into my blog post at:
