Cactus Falling!

Real Estate Broker/Owner with KGC Properties LLC, Tucson Property Management & Real Estate

Interesting coming across this yesterday on my bike ride up Mt Lemmon Road on Tucson's northeast side - we have all seen signs that indicate rocks could fall on the road - especially when driving through mountain passes - but I think Tucson needs one that reads "cactus falling".  This poor thing took a tumble from about 12 feet up and made quite the mess - unfortunately a car was in it's path as it tumbled! Fortunately everyone but the car was ok! Watch out if you ride or drive up Mt Lemmon - and remember to look up!

Good Tuesday morning Gabrielle. I am sure that a large cactus like that can put quite the dent in a vehicle.

Good morning Gabrielle. Wow, what a story to go with your incredible photo. Yes a sign would be appropriate.

Gabrielle Kamahele Rhind I will bet that would hurt you seriously if it decided to fall on you. Perhaps there needs to be a road warning sign alerting drivers to the cacti that have a tendency to jump in front of cars, similar to deer crossing signs?

Tumbleweed I can tolerate a 20' cactus, not so much Gabrielle. They're Corolla & Civic crushers for sure!
