Summit County Colorado:  

Education; Summit County high is a 4A school with grades nine through 12 totaling more than 700 students. Summit High School is centrally located at Farmers Korner, in Unincorporated Summit County just 2 miles south of Frisco Colorado. Summit High and Summit middle school are fed by seven neighborhoods including the Breckenridge elementary school the Dillon elementary,  Blue Valley elementary school and Silverthorne elementary. The school districts perform well on Colorado's annual testing; two schools have achieved Colorado's highest level in recent years. Summit County Colorado is also home to the Colorado Mountain College which has campuses in Dillon and Breckenridge.

Transportation: Getting around Summit County Colorado has never been easier. The Summit stage bus service provides free transportation throughout the county year-round. The stage serves 1.75 million riders annually. Service is available to the ski areas, shopping centers, medical centers and residential areas in Summit County. Bus have ski and snowboard racks in winter and bike racks available for users in the summer months. Free guidebooks with detailed route maps and schedules are available on all Summit County stage buses.

Climate: the average annual snowfall varies greatly within Summit County. Arapahoe Basin receives more than 30 feet of snow per year. Copper Mountain ski resort receives nearly 20 feet while the towns of Silverthorne and Dylan get just more than 10 feet on a regular basis. In general the Rocky mountains have very low humidity even the lowest temperatures do not seem terribly cold nor do the hottest days seem uncomfortably warm. Further 300 days a year of sunshine tend to make every day a little bit brighter.

Business Opportunities: Summit County Colorado has long been an enclave of second homes and second home owners, but recently Summit County has seen a surge in second-home offices the advances of wireless and high-speed technologies have made working in this mountain community very feasible for second-home owners. A variety of professional and business opportunities exist. The Summit County Chamber of Commerce are an excellent resource for people seeking business opportunities in the county. Of course, living expenses are above national averages, but Summit County's costs are less than the nearby resorts of sale or Aspen Colorado. Access to Summit County is easier with interstate I 70 and the Denver International Airport less than two hours away.

Real Estate, homes and condos for sale in Summit County Colorado. Real estate opportunities in Summit County offer as much variety as the ski runs themselves. From studio condominiums on the shores of Dillon reservoir, to ski in and ski out places on the slopes of Breckenridge, single-family homes in and around the Meadows of Dillon Colorado and Silverthorne Colorado. Recently mixed use developments have also sprung up offering much needed space for light industry. Copper Mountain Colorado has many condos and golf course properties to choose from, Breckenridge Colorado offering luxury homes to vacation and income performing condos, Keystone Colorado is a local's favorite where many families find the perfect mountain retreat, from condos and town-homes to single-family homes along the golf course or in the river run area, Keystone Colorado is a personal favorite of mine as I grew up skiing and remembering family dinners at the well known ski tip lodge and of course the golf course location of the ranch at Keystone are all family favorites.

Breckenridge Colorado: Breckenridge is home to the county's largest historic district. The Victorian architecture on Main Street is as elegant offset to the hand hewn log homes and structures that dot the side streets of the town. Breckenridge Colorado offers so many choices of elegant restaurants, lively nightclubs and cozy inviting cafés. Main Street shopping features pedestrian fan friendly storefronts which weave from the art district on Ridge Street through the side blocks of Main St., Breckenridge has a population of 3199 locals that call Breckenridge home the elevation is 9603 feet the town was established in 1859.

Silverthorne, Silverthorne is the gateway to Summit County and one of the fastest-growing communities in our area. Only 40 years old Silverthorne is a town maturing into its own design. With the precious and treasured blue River running through the town core Silverthorne utilizes this asset as a fisherman's paradise. Excellent proximity to the I 70 interstate and the factory outlet stores of Silverthorne flourished  into an industry of their own. The Raven golf course and homes along the Three Peaks area and Angler Mountain Ranch and of course Eagle's Nest are some of the most sought after locations in Summit County. Silverthorne Colorado is the affordable and of real estate in Summit County. Personally we call Silverthorne home I've enjoyed living there for many years with my wife now 10-year-old daughter. The Summit Sky Ranch is the new neighborhood in Silverthorne to offer homes for sale. 

Keystone Colorado, homes and condos for sale; a resort community located in unincorporated Summit County Colorado, Keystone has evolved into a vibrant year-round skiing resort. With the villages of River run and Lakeside resort offers everything from powder skiing, ice skating, spas and wellness centers, two high octane mountain biking, paddle boating and of course the two golf courses. With several of Colorado's highest rated restaurants, one of the largest conference centers in the Rocky Mountains and exceptional lodging, Keystone Colorado ski resort is one of the most complete mountain resorts in the state.

Frisco Colorado, Frisco has the distinction of being a vibrant, independent community not dominated by an individual ski resort. The county's largest in town residential areas are in Frisco, most of which are within walking distance to the downtown area. Main Street in Frisco is a clear representation of its past in the historic Park as well as the future with the Frisco Marina. Frisco offers the area's largest Nordic Ctr., Frisbee golf, boat rentals, paddle boat rentals windsurfers canoes kayaks everything you can think of at the well-established Frisco Marina. The Tiki bar in Frisco is a local favorite, this is a charming small mountain community known for its quaint shops, excellent restaurants, weekend and annual events. The Frisco barbecue is the town's signature event and Fourth of July promises family fun for everybody in Frisco Colorado.
