Third Blog Of The 2015 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT

Fall Has Arrived In Middletown Connecticut, and the trees are turning colors quicker than they did the last couple of years.  I posted my  "First Progression of Fall Blog Of 2015 on October 9th."    The first picture above is the picture in that blog.  I was late in posting the first blog and the picture was taken about a week and a half before I posted it on October 9th.  The second picture you see was taken about two weeks later, and as you can see in this 2nd picture in my Second Blog Of The 2015 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT, there was already a major change in the colors of the trees in those two short weeks.  But in this Third Blog Of The 2015 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT, there is not much change from the 2nd picture.  The day I took the picture it was overcast, which also contributed to not seeing as much change in the color of the trees.  However, the change in the colors are still more vibrant than they were last year at the same time.

I started to do this series of the progression of Fall colors Four years ago, and hope to continue to do this series for years to come.  The first two years the pictures were of a farm which is only about a minute walk from my house.  Last year I decided to change the location for the 2014 Progression Of Fall Color Series to a lake about 5 minutes from my house on RT17.  The Fall colors at that location were not as good as I had hoped them to be, but I am going to give this location one more chance for my 2015 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT.  However, I have already picked out a new spot for next year, and if the colors at that spot are anywhere what they are this year, it will be my best progression of Fall colors series.

Fall is a beautiful time of the year in New England, and even though last year was better than the two previous years, it still was not what I had hoped for.  I have become spoiled by the beautiful colors we normally see during the Fall, so I am hoping this year the colors truly standout.  It is still to early to get a feel for what the colors will be like this year, but as you can see from the pictures above I may have my wish this year.  My favorite colors are the trees with yellow, orange, and rust color leafs when they blend together.

Anyone planning to come to New England to enjoy our Fall colors at their peak should plan on coming between the middle of October to the beginning of November.  My favorite colors are the trees with yellow, orange, and rust color leafs when they blend together.

Fall Has Arrived In Middletown Connecticut and I hope you continue follow my series of the 2015 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown CT, and enjoy the pictures I will be posting.

As always, George Souto I never tire of fall beauty.  Thanks for this series.  I don't care that this year or last year or previous year was better or brighter or more brilliant.  The scene is still beautiful.  Keep posting.

George what a fabulous idea!  We don't get to experience the changing of color so it's even better to be able to see your photos and follow along. Very pretty! And such a fun project too!

Good morning George. What a difference a few days make, with the cold weather that we just experience, the leaves turned pretty quickly.

George, I always admire the fall colors. I have more love and appreciation for them as California gets drier and all things green just turn brown and die.  Beautiful photos!

George-This is a nice series. For those of us in areas that do not have low temps in Oct and Nov like your area, it's interesting to see the quick changes.
