I have learned that even when you know you've done your best for your clients, they will still blame you when things fall apart. Business relationships are about working together and sometimes things don't work out.
I am always going to bat for my clients. They never see what happens behind the scenes as I try to be the glue holding things together and with Real Estate it's not just the Buyer all by themselves but the Seller, the Appraiser, the Home Inspector, the Listing Agent, the Title company and those are just a few of the parties that can help to make the transaction happen or break the deal completely. Don't always point the finger at the one who is representing you and has your best interest at heart.
Realtor's work very hard at what they do and when deals fall apart, guess what, Realtor's don't get paid. I can't think of any Realtor who intentionally does anything to not receive a commission check. I love what I do and I work to do my very best for every client I represent! That's a fact!
As long as you know in whatever you do that you have done your best, that is all you can do. Don't fall apart when your deals fall apart. There is always another deal on the way so don't miss it and don't wallow in your own private pity party! Pat yourself on your back, regroup and get back out there! You are a winner if you don't lose hope and don't give up! Keep it moving! You live to fight another day!
