Are They a Statesman . . . . or a Politician?
“A statesman is a politician who places himself at the
service of the nation. A politician is a statesman
who places the nation at his service.”
George Pompidon 1911 – 1974, Prime Minister of France
As I see it . . . . . . .
Are they a statesman . . . . or a politician?
The play on the words in the quote may sound similar . . . . The differences in the meaning of the words are enormous and the impact . . . . of the words have an enormous impact on the nation.
The questions becomes are we sending statesman to Washington or politician?
Far too many elected officials at every level of office are politicians and far too little are a statesman.
America is a diverse nation of hard working people trying to provide for their families . . . . and are trying to make a better life for their children. At the same time there are far too many politician standing in the way of the American families . . . . and putting their interests above that of the nations.
We have reached a time in the country that the politicians need to move on . . . . and get a real day job like the hard working American people. They would have a better understanding of what the America people are experiencing trying to find a full time job.
Are they a statesman . . . . or a politician? Embrace the statesman . . . . and send the politician home packing.
