We love to eat out and are always looking for the best places to eat in and around San Ramon. I've compiled a list of some of our favorites and what to try.
Shish Grill - This traditional Greek restaurant is located at 1061 marketplace in downtown San Ramon. They feature authentic Greek food, delicious hummus, spicy potatoes with garlic sauce and of course delicious lamb and chicken Shwarma. If you like Greek food this definitely want to check out. It's casual and makes a great lunch destination.
Four Flavors - This Asian fusion restaurant is perfect for a casual night out or a good lunch spot. It features a variety of Asian dishes including several curries, pumpkin curry, delicious peanut and coconut sauces and a good mix of Thai food, Chinese food and Vietnamese food. You can create your own Asian bowl by choosing a type of rice or noodles, your protein, veggies, any sauce and add-ons to really customize exactly what you love.
Tacos El Asador - This new Mexican food truck makes fantastic mini tacos, delicious Carnitas and very authentic pico de gallo . If you're looking for something quick, you can stop by this food truck at 2255 San Ramon Valley Road.
Primavera Ristorante - This high end Italian restaurant is perfect for date night or in pressing someone special. They have an extensive wine list, bar menu, delicious desserts and lots of antipasti dishes. The Caprese salad with avocado, fresh mozzarella and tomatoes is to die for and their pair and strawberry salad is perfect for spring and summer. Of course for fall, butternut squash ravioli is always a favorite in our household.
Gianni's Italian Bistro - This is also a good choice for Italian food located at 2065 San Ramon Valley Road. If you're into mozzarella you have to check out their delicious Burrata, with arugula, Parmesan cheese and prosciutto. They make handmade pasta and gnocchi with mushrooms and truffle sauce. Prices are between $15 and $30 for entrées.
Katy's Korner - This breakfast spot is perfect for Saturday or Sunday mornings but they also feature great lunch menus as well. Breakfast can be as unusual as calamari steak and eggs or fresh brook trout to strawberry Belgian waffles piled high with whipped cream. Katy also has over 10 different eggs benedicts!
San Ramon has a lot of fantastic restaurants that these are just a few of our favorites. I wouldn't want to miss mentioning Creme Si Bon for baked goods, Baagan for Vegan and Vegetarian dishes, and Cafe Attila for great sandwiches, soups and pastries.
