While the real estate sign is often overlooked, it is still an important part of the real estate agent's marketing plan.
How is your sign setup? It should be easy to read from the road and not have too much info. Sometimes simple is better.
Is it only your number and email? Too often I see the main office number in the middle panel (where most people look and the number most buyers are likely to call). I recommend working with a company that offers direct call routing so that the listing agent receives the call since they know the most about the home. This method also ensures you receive 100% of your leads 100% of the time.
Are you marketing you or the home? The sign riders are to market the home. If it lists an agent's name three times, are you really doing what is best for your client? If it lists for sale in both sign riders, is that necessary? An agent should have custom riders to point out the selling features of the home.
Next time you are driving around your marketplace, take a look at the signs offered by the different agents and different companies. How do you stack up?
