The Colors this Year have Been Special
We did not have a very warm summer and in reality the hottest days of the year didn't come until early in September. Along with the cooler temps, we dry summer with some of the much needed rain coming also in September. This color change process, which to many seems to be the end of cycle for the trees leaves, is in reality the growth cycle for the following year.
If the colors of this fall are any indication of the growth next year, then hopefully we'll have a mild winter and they can bud early.
