Fourth Blog Of The 2015 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT

Mortgage and Lending with George Souto NMLS #65149 FHA, CHFA, VA Mortgages NMLS #65149

Fall Has Arrived In Middletown Connecticut, and the what a difference in the color of the trees from my progression of Fall colors blog last week to this week.  I posted my  "First Progression of Fall Blog Of 2015 on October 9th."    The first picture above is the picture in that blog.  I was late in posting the first blog and the picture was taken about a week and a half before I posted it on October 9th.  The second picture you see was taken about two weeks later, and as you can see in this 2nd picture in my Second Blog Of The 2015 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT, there was already a major change in the colors of the trees in those two short weeks.  In the Third Blog Of The 2015 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT, there wasn't much change from the 2nd picture.   But as you can see in this Fourth Blog Of The 2015 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT there is a significant change in the color of the trees in just one week.

I started to do this series of the progression of Fall colors Four years ago, and hope to continue to do this series for years to come.  The first two years the pictures were of a farm which is only about a minute walk from my house.  Last year I decided to change the location for the 2014 Progression Of Fall Color Series to a lake about 5 minutes from my house on RT17.  The Fall colors at that location were not as good as I had hoped them to be, but I am going to give this location one more chance for my 2015 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown, CT.  However, even though this year the colors at this spot are more vibrant than last year, I have already picked out a new spot for next year.  If the colors at the new spot I have picked out for next year are anywhere what they are this year, it will be my best progression of Fall colors series.

Fall is a beautiful time of the year in New England, and even though last year was better than the two previous years, it still was not what I had hoped for.  I have become spoiled by the beautiful colors we normally see during the Fall, so I am hoping this year the colors truly standout.  It is still to early to get a feel for what the colors will be like this year, but as you can see from the pictures above I may have my wish this year.  My favorite colors are the trees with yellow, orange, and rust color leafs when they blend together.  Anyone planning to come to New England to enjoy our Fall colors at their peak should plan on coming between the middle of October to the beginning of November.

Fall Has Arrived In Middletown Connecticut and I hope you continue follow my series of the 2015 Progression Of Fall Colors In Middletown CT, and enjoy the pictures I will be posting.

George, beautiful pictures of a beautiful part of our country. Believe it or not, we have colors like this here in Charlotte, as well. Although the tree in front of my house, which usually turns flaming red, is still all green right now.

Hi George - I was waiting for this last one to comment. Having all four shows a great progression of colors and the location is a great choice too.

George, that's really cool!  Now I'm wishing I'd done this in one part of Rock Creek Park.  Hmmm.  Maybe it's not too late!

George I really like the progression.  Next you will be showing the trees minus the leaves.  Another sign winter is approaching :)

We had a few rain squalls with very strong winds a few days ago and a lot of leaves are now coming down. Your next shot might just be branches! :-)

That's an interesting series.  I always watch the progression in our area and think it can't get better.  It always does.  And it's best right before they fall off the trees.

Hey there George-we are having a gorgeous fall in the east, probably because of the shortage of rain.  But it was wonderful to see your post and realize that the color intensity is something that I intuitively see in my favorite trees.
