Colorado Springs Ranks No. 8 for Best Air Quality in U.S.

According to realtor.com® , October 19, 2015, Colorado Springs ranks No. 8 for Best Air Quality in the U.S. Recently, realtor.com® researchers pulled together this year’s data from the  Environmental Protection Agency which measures the Air Quality Index in 500 urban areas. They culled and ranked the nation’s top 10 cities with the cleanest air quality, as well as those that didn’t fare so well.   http://www.realtor.com/news/trends/big-cities-with-best-and-worst-air-quality/?identityID=10214554&MID=2015_1023_WeeklyNL&RID=360667962&cid=eml-2015-1023-WeeklyNL-blog_1_airquality-blogs_trends

Colorado Springs, nestled at the base of Pikes Peak, lies at an altitude of 6,035 feet and, combined with our fresh, mountain air, makes for a perfect athlete-training atmosphere. Home to the flagship training center of the U.S. Olympic Committee and the Olympic Training Center programs, Colorado Springs is also the USOC headquarters.   http://www.teamusa.org/About-the-USOC/Training-Centers-and-Sites/Colorado-Springs

With all this high altitude clean air, please keep in mind to stay well hydrated while you're visiting Colorado during our upcoming ski season. Some of the best powder in the world is right here in the Rocky Mountains due to our snow's low moisture content (usually 4-7%). Whether your skiing, hiking, biking, or just out dog walking be sure to bring along water for you and your 4-legged friend.

Kim, you live in such a beautiful area and I just love the chapel at the Air Force Academy!  It is no surprise the Colorado Springs rates so high in air quality!  Your low humidity is also a plus as we are used to very hot and humid summers here in Indiana.

OK I am at a loss. I caught this post from Charita's recent post asking about copyright violation question and see nothing of the sort so what am I missing? And yes Colorado ROCKS and is a great place to live!

Kim I've posted my response in AAA, but here it is as well:

Kim I think the most important thing to remember with regard to copyright is making it clear that the post, idea, discovery, conclusion or otherwise is not your own.  And you do this by citing your source which you have clearly done.  I'm guessing that only the first paragraph is the only one which requires a citation.

If the remaining text in the post is your own content, then you have nothing to worry about.

Overall, I believe the post is well written, properly cited and adequate links to make your point and give your readers points of reference for further information.

Hi, Kim. Congrats on Colorado Springs making the Top 10 list of Best Air Quality. I found this post from Charita Cadenhead 's post on Copyright Infringement. You've provided the source of the quote and included the article, which mentions Colorado Springs, so I don't believe there's any infringement to worry about. Even the AR points for a blog should be fair game. Does that answer your question?

Oh, and the only change I woul make is I would change the Realtor.com article to open in another window, so it doesn't carry readers away from your blog.

Thank you, Pat. I appreciate you taking a moment to respond to my question on Charita Cadenhead 's blog. Great feedback about opening the article in another window as well. Good to know, have a great day!
