What Millenials Are Looking For In A Real Estate Agent

Real Estate Broker/Owner with THE TEMPLE TEAM

There are a few key things that "Millenials" aka: "Generation Y" are looking for in a Real Estate Agent.

This demographic are those born between about 1980 - 1995 and are head strong, hard working, internet using, smart phone carrying, latte drinking people.

They make up about 32 percent of home buyers out there today!

Millenials are much more apt to use a Real Estate Agent more than any other generation before them.

They are typically difficult to please and are definitely searching for their prospective new home on the internet!

Here are a few things that are most important to this group ...

  • Honesty
  • Trustworthiness
  • Willingness to use the Internet
  • Communicate via Text
  • Referred by their friends and family

I would add they are looking for brokers who can demonstrate and communicate competence. They aren’t interested in gate keepers.

Interesting overview of millenialls. I will have to keep this in mind when working with this group of clients. Thanks for sharing.

Kent Temple Great post and I think that last tip is the most important as it goes directly to the core of what all seasoned agents understand, i.e., this business is a 'relationship' business.
