Yes that is exactly what I am setting out to do, most brokerages are basically your typical Real Estate firm comprised of the same old ideas with a logo slapped on it, yes they have top corporate level products they role out to their franchisees and tout is as the best thing since sliced bread and give every agent just enough knowledge to be dangerous but do they actually make use of the data and the analytics they are getting from tactical measurements on a macro? probably not, coming from the Dot Com world I put analytics at the top of my offices agenda I want to know what the trends are, where buyers are coming, what are sellers behaviors and patterns this all translates into business you have to drill down and you cannt do that on a corporate level.
I am a big believer in brand building and customer promise as well as using every tool that gives my office the advantage over competitors in my market place in Northern NJ (Nutley) my office consists of a hand full of agents that are well versed in the above skills the first thing I look for in an agent is do they know how to use today's tools of the trade? and most of all are they willing to learn I believe in teaching EVERY AGENT IN MY OFFICE AND THEY BENEFIT FROM MY KNOWLEDGE.
If the first words out of a new prospects mouth is "What is my commission split?" I politely show them the door, I don't want the typical office, I don't want to run the typical Real Estate game we are dealing with highly educated consumers these days and to think that your buyer or seller is not up on the latest trends is really underestimating your client and selling yourself short the Internet is a wonderful invention and a tool by with the Real Estate agent can either grow or become a victim of.
