And in other parts of the country. That's right, it's time to exercise in Virginia and I plan to do my part. My husband is also going to join in and do his part. I have friends, neighbors, family members, co-workers and total strangers here in Virginia that are all going to exercise. Yes America, we are going to exercise in Virginia.
We Are Going To Exercise
Our Right To Vote !
One week from today is election day here in Virginia. Tuesday, November 3rd we will go to the polls. Virginia holds in-state elections for the legislature and numerous local offices next week. I am challenging all in-state lenders, Realtors, appraisers, home inspectors and all of the other professions represented on ActiveRain here in Virginia to get in YOUR exercise.
Isn't this country great ? The founders made it so we could not only express our opinion on which way our governance would go but also gave us the right to choose who would be our spokesperson. They put on us a responsibility to carry this nation and it's member states forward into a future they couldn't even imagine.
And how many service members have put themselves on the battlefields of the world to protect your privilege to do this exercise. As a military brat myself, I would be remiss if I didn't acknowledge our veterans, past and present. Thank them whenever you can.
The day of elections should not be seen as a burden. It is, in fact; a chance to meet and greet as well as an opportunity to network with total strangers. It IS NOT a negative to be out and about, doing your civic duty. Being seen in public and voting speaks volumes about who you are as a citizen and a member of the community.
I am putting this blog out a week ahead of time to give everyone time to prepare to exercise. You can do it with friends and you don't have to obligate yourself to a year long gym contract. Make it fun even if it is a serious decision we are all making. Let it be an excuse to take a long lunch with colleagues.
Wear that "I voted" sticker all day as a badge of honor and respect for the process. So please, my fellow Virginians, get in on this because . . . . . . .
It's time to exercise in Virginia !
