Sixty-six artists are participating in the Día de los Muertos Exhibition. The exhibition will run through November 14, 2015, at the Bath House Cultural Center located on the East Shore of White Rock Lake in Dallas.
Día de los Muertos, one of the most popular holidays in Mexico, is a celebration of the lives of those who have died. Celebrations include preparing the favorite foods of loved ones; decorating with meaningful objects; and displaying photos. Lives of family members, friends and pets are celebrated with love and passion. What a wonderful way to remember the spirit of those who make a difference in our lives.
The Bath House Cultural Center is the perfect location to celebrate this "spirited" holiday. This time of year Monarch butterflies migrate to Mexico. Día de los Muertos is marked by the arrival of the Monarch butterflies in Mexico. It is believed that departed spirits are guided to Mexico by these delicate creatures. The Bath House Cultural Center just happens to be home to a beautiful Butterfly Garden to the east of its front door. What better place to celebrate Día de los Muertos!
Sixty-six artists are participating in this exhibition. Works of art are inspired by the artists' memories of their departed loved ones. Art is available for purchase.
Come and enjoy creative art, embrace the spirit of life, and savor two Dallas area treasures: White Rock Lake and the Bath House Cultural Center.
