I heard a horror story just the other day. OK, it's late October so you would think that's appropriate but it's not. A new mortgage loan client was telling about the bad experience they had with an online mortgage lender.
Unfortunately, in our world of modern technology, we sometimes forget to use our good sense when making the biggest financial decision of our lives. Sometimes the excitement of the moment leads us to unwise actions.
The client was SMART to do their due diligence and research rates and companies and I don't fault them for that. Fact is, I encourage clients to do that. I feel an educated client is the best client. That's why I take my time to explain and answer every question.
The horror was the online company gave the clients information out to banks and lenders across the world. Yes, literally, the world. Now their email address is out there and so is their financial information. Who knows who has it or what they will do with it. Their Inbox was slammed !
I ride across Halesford Bridge almost daily, I'll eat a good Italian dinner at Tuscan Tavern or Casa D'Amici, I boat up and down Smith Mountain Lake, I go to Bedford on Hwy. 122, . . . . . . . JUST LIKE YOU DO !
