Flooding your web site

Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Results
Here is a easy inexpensive way to drive buyers and sellers to your web-site. First get a listing and take good quality digital pictures. Next get a website with the listing address. GoDaddy.com is great for this. Now point this site to your own site, make sure you have a way to capture visitors info when they visit the site. Then take the photos and using editing software write in your web address in the text box so it appears on the picture. Now use this piture on all advertising. Check your local MLS for their rules on this, but everywhere else will send people there. Try it and let me know how it works for you

Thank you Keith.  I also read on a different blog that http://agent.point2.com/ offers free websites that are being used by Realtors, builders and developers.  Thanks again for sharing your great idea.

Godaddy does not use 301 redirects which means the search engines will see these extra domains as duplicate content. Duplicate content can get you penalized by all of the search engines. Find a domain provider that uses 301 redirects when they point a domain name like network solutions or internet crusade to name a few.

GoDaddy.com does use a 301 redirect.  You can choose a 301 permanent redirect or a 302 temporary.

To get leads give them free stuff. Free reports, free CMAs, drive by lists of all the properties for sale with a free street map, free IDX search with lead capture abilities. IDX Pro has an IDX that lets them save listings and searches, lets them sign up for automatic updates, and lets them search all they want without registering but they have to register if they want the full details. To register they give me their email address. Once you have the leads put them on automatic update. Please don't sign up om my site.

To get traffic, fill your site with content about your area. Every town, every neighborhood and everything you can think about real estate. Then get links from directories. There are a bunch of free directories and a bunch of pay directories. I spent about $1,000 on directories this year and now I get 8-10 leads a day.

Google "SEO" and you will find a treasure trove of information.
