Do Your Active Rain Peeps Know How to Refer Business to You?
As I was reading through the blog roll today, a question popped into my mind regarding AR referrals. I wondered if I was doing a good enough job letting other agents around the country know where my market is and that YES, I love referrals. It is often easy to do our daily AR work, blogging, commenting, questions, etc. without really looking to see where another member works and lives.
While reading Mike Cooper's featured post today and saw that he is from Virginia, I thought that I needed to reach out to him as a large company in his area is moving folks my way. I have been following Mike for many years here in the Rain yet had never let it register where he was from. Luckily for me, it is clearly identified on his blog and on his personal page.
Take a moment to assess your own personal blog and information. Sometimes we leave off important information that would make it easy for another AR member to see where you are from or what your area of expertise is. This could potentially make the difference between you getting a nice referral over someone whose information is more difficult to decipher.
Make sure your area of expertise and your phone numbers are included so people don't need to search all over to find out how to contact you. I want you all to know that I am YOUR go-to Texas gal for The Woodlands, Magnolia, Tomball, Spring, Conroe and farm and ranch market. I have lived in my area for 30 years and know it well.
Referrals are wonderful and I have the distinct privilege of working with many Active Rain referrals over the years. This is one of the best things about Active Rain! So take a look and notice where other members live so the next time you know of someone moving to that area you can get in on the wonderful AR network!
Happy referring!
