About Dining For Women - Imagine..... A world that works for women...
"Imagine every woman and girl worldwide having access to education, healthcare, economic opportunity, legal and political participation in their communities and nationa, living lives free from discrimination, oppression, violenceand poverty" This is Dining For Women's mission statement by Marsha Wallace Co-Founder.
Dining For Women National Website has 430 Chapters and 8,500 Members. Locally we have members from all over the Greater Daytona Beach Area including Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach, Port Orange, and Ponce Inlet.
Rachel Samson is the founder of the local Ormond Beach Florida chapter. Every other month, Rachel selects a venue and each member brings a dish to share and a contribution equal to what she would have spent if she had gone out to eat instead. Members have opened up their homes to host these events. Each month, the National Organization for Dining For Women, identifies an International charity with a specific project or mission that will be funded by pooling all of that months proceeds from all of the 430 Chapters. The monthly grants average more than $40,000.
I have been a member since the Ormond Beach Chapter started back in 2013, and have personally seen the Chapter grow in numbers and contributions. I believe it is very important to give back because we are so blessed. It is important to help women around the world to fight gender inequality.
