Highway Updates 10292015

Wouldn't you want to know what closures are happening in and around the valley of the Sun this Weekend.  Well, while I can't say this list is exhaustive, it has some current information.

 

  • Westbound Interstate 10 narrowed to one lane overnight between Riggs and Queen Creek roads from 9 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 31) for shoulder improvements. DETOUR: Please allow extra travel time and be prepared to merge safely in work zone.
  • Work is continuing on the project to add new ramps connecting SR 51 and Black Mountain Boulevard at the Loop 101/SR 51 interchange. Please allow for extra travel time while the following closures are in place

  • Northbound Loop 101 on- and off-ramps closed at Northern Avenue from 10 p.m. Friday to 3 p.m. Sunday (Nov.1). DETOUR: Please use alternate routes, including northbound ramps at Glendale or Peoria avenues

  • Loop 101 northbound narrowed to two lanes overnight between Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) and Chaparral Road. Both Loop 202 ramps to Loop 101 northbound closedDETOUR: Please allow extra travel time. Consider alternate routes, including northbound McClintock Drive/Hayden Road or northbound Scottsdale Road, while Loop 202 ramps to Loop 101 northbound are closed
  • Traffic-flow equipment work will require the I-17 on-ramps at Jomax Road to be closed overnight beginning Friday night (Oct. 30).

     

    • I-17 southbound on-ramp at Jomax Road closed overnight. DETOUR: Use southbound frontage road to Happy Valley Road to enter I-17.

    11 p.m. Friday – 9 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 31)

    •  I-17 northbound on-ramp at Jomax Road closed overnight. DETOUR: Use northbound North Valley Pkwy to westbound Dove Valley Road to enter I-17.

    11 p.m. Sunday – 5 a.m. Monday (Nov. 2)

    • Loop 202 eastbound (Red Mountain Freeway) closed between Loop 101 and Country Club Drive for widening project. Both Loop 101 ramps to Loop 202 eastbound closed. Loop 202 eastbound ramps to Loop 101 be open. DETOUR: Consider alternate routes. Drivers can exit to southbound McClintock Drive and use eastbound Rio Salado Pkwy.

    10 p.m. Friday - 10 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 1)

    • Eastbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) narrowed to two lanes between Country Club Drive and Gilbert Road.

    10 p.m. Friday-10 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 1)

    • Dobson and Alma School roads eastbound on-ramps at Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) closed.

    10 p.m. Friday-10 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 1)

David, great update on road construction!  We have lots in Denver too, and always a pain when a road is shut down and you did not know!
