Tech Tip Thursday - Google Photos to Free Up Storage

Real Estate Agent with Real Estate in IL & NV | Owner of Real Estate Web Tech | Daily Vlogger 177506

Just a quick tip in-case your computer or phone is running out of storage from pictures (like mine did today)

Google Photos

Google Photos is an app you can download for both computers and phones. It will allow you to back up an unlimited amount of photos at high quality (or 100GB worth of photos at the original size) at no cost at all.

I've tried out both and the unlimited storage at high resolution is more than good enough for almost everything unless you have an award winning picture you plan to have printed as a 12ft x 5ft poster.

Another cool feature it that after you have uploaded your pictures, you can access them from anywhere you have an internet connection.

I hope this little tech tip helps and enjoy the rest of the week.

The Keys to Real Estate Leads Podcast (coming Oct. 5th, 2015) will focus on interviewing top agents and real estate professionals on branding, marketing, and becoming mega agents in any market. Keys to Real Estate Leads also offers a course that teaches agents how to dominate and stand out from the crowed in the noisy online world as well as helping agent NOT BUY LEADS!

The course covers everything from building a professional website, building landing pages, and generating tons of leads from Facebook, Google and other online sources. If you want to succeed, it is a great investment that teaches you how to do every part of online lead generation and does not just keep selling you products.

Stefan Winter I did not know Google Photos is free for up to 100 GB!

(I do have lots of pictures on my Android - now I think I can upload them on Google Photos.)

Good Friday morning Stephan. I wonder what Google is going to do with all of those photos? There has to be some reason they are doing this.

That is impressive, Stefan. I bought portable hard drives just for photo storage. I will look into this! Thank you.

Put 40 years of experience to work for you

I shoot a ton of photographs but my hard drive has only 500 GB on a capacity of 1.1 TB. Although, I'm thinking when I buy my next computer, as I'm prone to doinge very couple of years now, I will probably just buy all new software and start over. I've been transferring one computer mirror image to the next now for almost 15 years. That's a lot of useless and outdated stuff.

It's not a game, it's your life.

Wow!  I just deleted a ton of old photos and then after not needing them for years, I tried to access photos of a home I had done in 2011.  Thank you for the valuable information.

Good Thursday afternoon Stefan Winter -

I think I've seen something about this before.  Can Google use your photos?  That was my concern.
